California Redwoods | Lauren & Steven
Wow...I just love our California redwoods...and so do a lot of SoCal brides! This is Lauren and Steven and their California redwood wedding!
These high school sweethearts both graduated from UC Santa Cruz and are now ready to begin their lives as Mr. and Mrs.
Lauren was surrounded by a wonderful group of friends and family members who lovingly helped her get ready for the ceremony.
What a lovely gown!! The bride is stunning!!
The details on this simple, yet elegant gown are fabulous!
After Steven's proposal on their favorite beach, Lauren and Steven set out to plan a fun, relaxing wedding...a wedding that truly reflected who they are as a couple. The ceremony was outside in the redwood groves behind the Occidental Union Hotel.
A simple but touching ceremony...the bride and groom exchanged both personal and formal vows. They walked up and down the aisle to some of their favorite songs. The pastor to both families married them in a very meaningful ceremony.
The reception was the definitely the party that Lauren and Steven had planned it to be. The venue was perfectly laid back - Lauren praised the staff of the Union Hotel Occidental for their helpfulness...and the food was awesome!
Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time...and why wouldn't they? They were entertained by the groom's band - Funktopus! The dance floor was packed all night - people were even dancing in their chairs!
The hall was the perfect place for the reception. It had an amazing vibe that fit perfect with the eclectic group of friends and family who gathered to celebrate with Lauren and Steven.
The wedding cake was made by a close friend - each layer was a different flavor! Lauren heard it was delicious...the busy bride didn't get a chance to taste!
The reception wasn't without its touching moments! The couple's first dance...
...and the father - daughter dance.
Lauren and Steve enjoyed the hard work of creating all of their decorations and signs.
A special thank you to the vendors who helped make this evening perfect:
